Ed Asner, A Rennisanse Artist with a spectacular range and a brilliant capacity to communicate, has passed away at the age of 91.

Ed Asner was a personal friend of mine, being able to talk politics with Lou Grant in late-night phone sessions was one of the highlights of my career and my life and service to comedy as the Head Curator of the Comedy Hall of Fame. Ed was one of Comedy’s true Renaissance men, a great intellect, a superb actor, and a comic genius. His timing was his perfection, his joy was his advocacy, his politics, and his humanity.
Lou Grant was the only sitcom character in the history of the medium of television to have his own one-hour drama, which served as a brilliant platform for his ideology. He loved the work, and you will too. He will be missed, but you can convene with him. He has one of the largest and longest IMDB profiles in its history, dig in! He’s a joy to watch.
