The American Academy of Comedic Arts & Sciences (AACAS) is the only professional organization dedicated solely to field of comedy. Our organization recognizes professionals in film, television, stand-up, publishing and music whose primary work is in the field of comedy. We aim to unite members of different professional industries within the field in order to recognize and serve their individual and collective needs. In doing so we hope that we can garner recognition for the field and promote comedy as an art and a science.

We hope that by united such a fragmented body of people that we can institute a network that will bring professionals within the field together.

By unifying the field and establishing a professional organization for comedy it is our hope that we can create a collective interest group to ensure the rights and privileges of industry professionals.
